Emissions Reduction Targets
To continue our progress towards achieving Net Zero, we have established the following carbon reduction targets:
– Decrease our emissions to 89.85 tCO2e by 2030. This reflects a reduction of 10% compared to baseline year emissions.
Carbon Reduction Projects
To achieve our goal of Net Zero, Medical Graphics UK Ltd. has adopted the following strategies:
– Utilise TEAMS meetings whenever possible to reduce travel costs and reliance on motor vehicles for face-to-face meetings.
– Actively raise awareness among employees to mitigate the environmental impact of emissions through various activities focused on energy saving, renewable energy sources, conscious use of natural resources, and promoting sustainable behaviours. Examples include switching off unused devices and minimizing paper use by opting for digital methods.
– Introduce weekly planning meetings with field-based staff to facilitate job transfers among team members, thereby reducing travel across the country.
– Whenever company vehicles are renewed, they will be replaced with plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) or fully electric vehicles, where feasible.
– Ensure all packing materials are recycled.
– Implement solar panels to reduce energy consumption.
– Provide secure external bike storage facilities to encourage staff commuting via bicycle.
– Embed Net Zero objectives into job descriptions and performance reviews, linking them to relevant targets.
DECLARATION AND SIGN-OFF
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and the associated guidance and reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans. Emissions have been reported and recorded using the published reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard, applying appropriate government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in compliance with SECR requirements. The required subset of Scope 3 emissions has been reported according to the published standards for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
